It is Michael's birthday today...

Dear Michael,

Happy birthday, I say to you
For though you are gone, it is still true
That fiftyone years ago, you were born
And made the world moonwalk, 'till our shoes were worn.

All over there's tributes, from left to right,
But this is my own, that I write on this night
People rhyme albumtitles, songs and who knows?
But I wanna use some words of my own.

You were my king, my leader, my light,
And since the age of eight, I thought that I might
Meet you one day, and see you - so strong
But now you bear a Halo, and my light is gone.

Where can I go in the darkness so black
Oh, Michael - how I wish you were back
Back in my life, back in the world as you were from the start,
But just know this - you are never gone in my heart.

But when I think back, I know you've tought me a lesson,
Through your music and your life - even the way you were dressin'!
And you've given me a guide on how to live my life,
Through your music, your light is still shining bright.

But now it is up to me, to create my own route,
To walk through my life, with no parachute,
You sang, 'You are not alone', but then why does it feel that way?
As though I am on my own, more secluded every single day.

I want you back. I miss you. I cry. I cry. I love you.

Happy birthday, Michael...

Was Michael Jackson murdered?

It has been a month and a bit since our Hero went to the Heavens. And ever since that day, rumours has swirled around the gossip rags, mixing up with thruths - even screwing up CNN and BBC's reports.

But some facts seem to be set in Stone:

1) Michael Jacksons seems to have died from an overdose of painkillers, of which it seems he was heavily addicted.
2) His personal doctor was at the scene, and is suspected to have given Jackson the lethal injection of drugs - that killed him in the end.
3) The police is suspected to press criminal charges against dr. Murray for accidental/unintentional manslaughter.

Apart from these few facts, rumours rule. Some rumours claim the doctor fell asleep after the injection, therefore not being able to monitor the state of Jacksons health. Other sources claim the drug used was propofol.
Still other sources claim Jackson is not dead at All - hé just faked it to get away from the pressure of having to endure 50 concerts in a row.

No one know for sure what happened. But answers Will come later this week, when the obduction report Will be released. While this might help us understand what happened to our King, it Will not bring him back.

M

I am in a State of total and utter shock. More than I have ever been.
A man who has been a constant in my life since I was eight years old, is gone. He was my father. He was my brother. He was my mentor.

Michael Jackson is dead.
Even writing that sentence brings tears to my eyes.

I first heard his music at eight years old, my best friend introduced me to the Man In The Mirror from the Bad album. I remember listening to that soft voice, watching the album cover, trying to figure out for myself, whether Michael Jackson was a man or a woman!
But I was intrigued. I had to hear more! I simply had to! And I certainly did.

Now, 12 years later, I am the fan to break dimensions. I have the CDs, the records, the banners, the books and the gloves (yes, I own multiple of them!). I even have the dolls, for Christs sake!
And I cannot describe the love and admiration I have for the man that was Michael Jackson. His appearance, his stage show, his dancing, his singing, and definitely not least - his message to the world. And yet, he was no perfect man. He had flaws, like the rest of us. Like a cross between God and Human. Maybe and Angel? Maybe the new Jesus? Who suffered cardiac arrest to safe us from our sins? Something of the sort.

I was looking forward to the biggest event of my entire life, when I finally got tickets for the upcoming concerts this summer. And exactly one month before - his heart stops beating.
For some reason, that's the hardest thing to handle for me. It just stopped beating. Like that! Did he give up? Or had God really sacrified his soul, and wanted his Angel to come back to the skies?

My heart is broken. My brain is screaming in my skull. The Air is missing from my lungs. And it will be a long time before I Can breathe again.

To the memory of Michael Jackson. May he rest in peace. My father, my brother.

Michael Jackson is dead

Jackson, 50, suffered a heart attack just after 12.00pm local time (19.00pm GMT) and paramedics were unable to revive him, TMZ.com said.

When paramedics arrived at his house he was not breathing, a fire department captain told the LA Times newspaper.

Jackson was given CPR by fire department paramedics as he was taken to UCLA Medical Center where he was treated, the LA Times said.

Steve Hargrave, Sky's entertainment correspondent, said: "TMZ is a website which goes out of its way to get there first but many of their stories over the years have turned out to be true - particularly with stories from LA.

"You can only imagine the impact of this around the world."

Jackson's manager was not available for comment and officials at UCLA Medical Center could also not be reached.

Sky's US correspondent Greg Milam said: "Clearly he was very seriously ill - we can gather that from what his father and other family members said.

"One member of the family had told the TMZ website that Michael is in "really bad shape" and that the brothers were heading for the hospital.

"His father said he wasn't sure exactly what was wrong and was waiting to hear back.

"One can only imagine what it could be like for his family in such circumstances."

Jackson had been about to embark on a comeback, performing 50 concerts at London's O2 Arena.

The concerts had been due to start on July 13.

He had been rehearsing in the Los Angeles area for the London shows, which sold out within hours of going on sale in March.

Hargrave said: "We can't underestimate the effect this will have on Michael Jackson fans who have loved his music and career.

"They would have been assuming that in about three weeks time their idol would have been back on the stage perfoming his greatest hits. To suddenly find out this news will be devastating.

Phil Sutcliffe, from Mojo Magazine said: "He had the extraordinary effrontery to call himself the King of Pop, but that's actually what he was, and for a long, long time."

Brand new layout!

It was about time, that I made a new layout design! And in the spirit of This Is It - well, this is it! I also added a counter on the right hand site, counting down to This Is It opening night. A visitor counter is now in the bottom of the page.

Tell me what you think!

This Is It

Michael Jackson will be performing 50 sold-out shows in London, starting this summer and continuing all the way 'till march 2010.

The shows are called THIS IS IT - and are supposedly the last shows ever done by the famous singer. He said, he wants to sing the songs his fans wants to hear.

However many fans already wonder whether this is really it for mr. Jackson. Mostly based on his comme which was "This is really it, my very last shows... In London!"

So is this really it for mr. Jackson? We will certainly be following the shows over the summer, bringing back to you all the rumours concerning the content of the shows!

And on a personal note: I HAVE GOT TICKETS FOR JULY 24TH!!!

See you this summer!

Jackson Spirit: Man In The Mirror by The Filipino Madrigal Singers

I was amazingly surprised by this extremely beautiful rendition of the Michael Jackson classic Man In The Mirror from the 1987 album Bad. The song is sung entirely in a capella, meaning the singers have no instrumental backing at all - they only use their voices.
It is sung my the Filipino Madrigal Singers. I have head many version of Man In The Mirror in a capella, but this is the only one I've ever heard, which really caught the excitement and spirit of the original - I feel, when watching this, the exact same way, as when I see the MITM-segment from the 1988 Moonwalker-movie - pure ecstasy!

So ten thumbs up for the Filipino Madrigal Singers! Great work!
